Data You Give Us Directly
Search Queries
A name, case number, or other term entered in a search tool is sent directly to the outside provider that operates that tool. The provider processes the query and supplies the results under its own systems. Zavala County Court Docket does not retain or record those search terms on its own servers.
Messages and Contact Submissions
An email sent to us may be kept for the purpose of reading and answering it. The message remains within our organization unless disclosure is required by a valid legal obligation. We do not otherwise provide contact submissions to outside parties.
Data We Gather Automatically
When a visitor loads a page, the site’s servers may automatically receive basic technical and usage details, including:
- Page-view dates and times
- The referring website, when one is reported
- Pages opened and the time spent on them
- Device category and operating system
- Browser name and version
- The device’s assigned IP address
Cookies and Analytics
Cookies are small files placed on a device. The site uses them, together with analytics services, to understand traffic in aggregate, such as which pages receive visits and where a session ends. A visitor may block cookies through browser controls. Disabling them can cause some website functions to work differently.
What We Do With This Data
- Directing a submitted query to the appropriate search provider
- Maintaining site availability, speed, and operation
- Finding and correcting performance or technical faults
- Assessing which content visitors use and where improvements are needed
- Displaying advertising that may reflect a visitor’s interests
No Court-Record Data on File
Zavala County Court Docket does not maintain, host, sell, or assemble a database of personal case records or court dockets. Its content points readers to the Zavala County District Clerk, County Clerk, lower courts, and Texas statewide search system as sources for official records. The website is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act, and information about a visitor is not compiled into a report concerning someone else.
Third-Party Search Partners
Outside companies supply the search boxes displayed on the website. Information submitted through one of those tools is governed by that provider’s privacy policy rather than this policy. Each provider controls its own retention, processing, and disclosure rules. Visitors should read the applicable provider policy before sending a query.
Links to Other Websites
Links may lead to Zavala County clerk pages, Texas court portals, statewide case-search services, legal-aid resources, or outside search tools. Once a visitor follows an external link, the destination’s privacy practices control the visit. Review those terms before providing personal information.
Some advertising providers may measure activity across different websites to select targeted advertising. That collection occurs through the providers’ systems, not through a court-record database maintained by us.
Who Might See Your Data
Personal information is not sold. Depending on how a visitor uses the website, data may be received by:
- Advertising networks that serve ads on website pages
- Analytics providers that measure traffic and performance
- Outside search providers that process submitted queries
- Government or law-enforcement authorities when disclosure is compelled by a valid legal order
How We Protect Your Data
Reasonable, commonly used security measures are applied to information collected through the website. No internet-connected service can guarantee complete protection, however. We work to safeguard visitor data but cannot warrant that unauthorized access or a security incident will never occur.
Users Under 18
The website is intended for adults and does not knowingly collect personal information from a person younger than 18. If we learn that a minor provided such information, we will remove it after receiving notice.
Your Data Rights
Rights concerning personal data may also arise under applicable Texas or federal privacy and consumer-protection law. The Texas Public Information Act, Government Code Chapter 552, concerns public information held by covered government bodies. Zavala County Court Docket is privately operated, so that law does not make its visitor information a Zavala County government record or a Texas court case record. Subject to applicable law, a visitor may:
- Request access to personal information held about that visitor
- Ask that inaccurate personal information be corrected
- Seek deletion of the visitor’s personal data
- Decline certain forms of processing where an opt-out applies
Updates to This Policy
This privacy policy may be revised as practices or legal requirements change. A revised version will be posted here and will carry a new effective date. Visitors may review this section periodically for the current terms.
